Rasheera Dopson, MPH, is a digital storyteller and advocate using multimedia to promote disability education and awareness.

A nationally recognized speaker, author, and strategist, her professional role is serving as Program Director at a small medical nonprofit — but her emerging scholarship and advocacy continue to make impact. Rasheera amplifies the voices of women and girls with disabilities. She has spoken at the University of the West of England Bristol as a 2024 Ignite speaker, the Disability Studies Conference at UCLA and Loyola Marymount University, and as a guest speaker at the 2025 American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics Conference. As an emerging scholar and guest lecturer, she teaches on intersectionality, examining how race, gender, and disability converge to shape health outcomes and lived experience.

She's a graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine, where she received her Master's in Public Health. Currently, she is a PhD student in Interdisciplinary Health at Northern Arizona University. Her research applies an intersectional framework examining the health experiences of multiple identities among women of color with disabilities.

Her writing has appeared in The Conversation, Public Health Post, The Emancipator, the Disability Visibility Project, and more. Rasheera is the author of the memoir Beauty with a Twist (2020) and the children's book Different Like Me (2023).

She has received the David Roach Advocacy Award and the Fearless Woman Global Community Impact Award, both in 2022.
